First off i would like to mention that the laws of the old testament do apply to christians if you read Matthew 5:17-18.

What reason do the majority of muslims alive to day have to trust democracy? So-called democratic leaders are propped up in third world countries so the western nations can take advantage for economic reasons. When the current leader doesn't suit the US's needs, not a problem just make a new one. If countries like the US actually lived up to the principles that we spout off all the time maybe we wouldn't be such a target for the world's hatred. This country is not the same one that was founded almost 250 years ago. The principles are still there but noone in power seems to understand what they really mean.
