RAFI:

In a previous post I worte:

"Allah's Apostle (Muhammed) said to me, "Have you got married O Jabir?" I replied, "Yes." He asked "What, a virgin or a matron?" I replied, "Not a virgin but a matron." He said, "Why did you not marry a young girl who would have fondled with you?" (Bukhari 59:382)

A'isha (Allah be pleased with her) reported: "Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) married me when I was six years old, and I was admitted to his house at the age of nine." (Sahih Muslim 3309)

[Muhammad said] "…the Divine Inspirations do not come to me on any of the beds except that of Aisha." (Bukhari 47:755)

In your post titled 'RUBBISH' , you wrote:

"Where did you get all this rubbish from ? "

the same place all the rest of this rubbish comes from - Islamic scriptures.

"Please let me know the sources. "

I'm assuming here you were talking about what I wrote - as you haven't specified which bit of the rubbish you think is more rubbishy than any of the othwr rubbish- so sure -

"You simply cant write anything you want to and attribute itto Bukhari. "

as you see they are not my words - it came from your scriptures.

"Even Bukhari is not an authority."

So why bother reading it? Why not throw it all out if it's unreliable? Unless you want to just select the pieces which you agree with.

So all the Muslims for the last 1400 years have been happy reading Hadith , but it's not good enough now?

It's great how you can just pick and choose whatever you want to justify one's behaviour isn't it?

"The only authority is the Quran."

really - then why are there such diasgreements in various aspects its meaning amongst all the learned imams and muftis around the world?

I [personally think it's a complete crock , may have been relevant for some arabs in the 7th century but totally irerelevant for 21st century non-arab society.

Don't get me wrong here - I'm not saying that belief in a creator is irrelevant but to call it a great revelation and an enhancement to any of the truths found in other religious traditions is an insult to our intelligence.

But that's just my opinion. Of course you'll disagree.
