No excuses on day of Judgement.

Reader comment on item: Destroying Sculptures of Muhammad
in response to reader comment: So all things

Submitted by Imam Ahmed Syeed Ali Muhammed (United States), Apr 9, 2008 at 15:24

It's no problem, the reason why these things will testify on us in front of Allah is not for the sake of Allah, as you have said He is all knowing, to show the soul that now kowledge escapes from Allah. We will be asked about the deeds that we committed, and there will be some who will try to deny the truth, and offer excuses. Idols are forbidden in Islam, but there are all kinds of idols, not just the ones like those worshipped in Buddhism, or hinduism. Money can become an idol, if we place it's importance abouve living our lives for God. Friends, our own lusts, etc. These things we become evidence of the wrong we have done just as good deeds will.
