Thank you for your question. The meaning of Khalifah is that Allah created man to watch over the rest of creation. Not just the enviornment, and other creatures, but each other.

I know it is hard to understand why Muslims kill people of other fatihs... I find it hard too. We have to live on this earth together regardless of our religious beliefs.
