Danes are becoming Europe's backbone.

Reader comment on item: Destroying Sculptures of Muhammad

"This conclusion confirms my more general point – and the premise of the Islamist Watch project – that Islamists working quietly within the system achieve more than ferocity and bellicosity. Ultimately, soft Islamism presents dangers as great as does violent Islamism."

Conversely, violent Islamism may be the better teacher of what the Islamist are really all about. The Dane's have finally been provoked into making a stand precisely because of the violence.

If only the Spanish had taken such a stand after their al Queada incident, or the British over the absurd incidence over the Teacher and the "Teddy bear Mohammed".

Maybe the best medicine of all is laughter though. Their violent protests over ridiculous trivialities has truly made these people and their silly religious sensibilities appropriate laughing stocks.

It is absolutely absurd how a people will riot violently in Mohammed's name as a response to depictions of their prophet and their religion as being violent.

What we are dealing with here is not a civilizaton, but primitive, boorish children.
