Thanks Claire. If in the case where Islam goes, shariah follows, I am not sure that this can be defined in a political sense as much as cultural and certainly legalistic , since shariah is not "political".

While the effort for parrallel shariah law is hyped in the media, the effort is small and in actuality most Muslims in the west hardly care or endeavor to implement shariah courts.

Of course, the mere mention of such is just enough to scare the bejeezus outta people who already fear or hate Muslims...
