Fatima, war between Shias and Sunnis

If you believe that, "Islam is a "religion of peace", why then are the Shias and Sunnis at war with each other in Iraq? Hundreds of thousands of Muslims have been killed in Iraq, but very few by the USA as most of the Muslims are killed by the war between the Shias and Sunnis. In the last few days, the Shias attacked the Sunnis, and the violence continues in Iraq.

You say that the war in Israel is between the Palestinians and the Israelis. It's Hamas in Gaza that is firing rockets into Israel and definitely not the Palestinians. In 2005, Israel gave Gaza, a land that belonged to Israel for 3300 years, to Fatah. Hamas and Fatah commenced a war between each other and Hamas won and now rules over Gaza. The Palestinians and Israel got along reasonably well for many years and most of the Palestinians were employed by Israel. Unfortunately for Israel and the Palestinians, Palestine allowed Hamas to infiltrate and attack Israel from Palestine, thus forcing Israel to stop the Palestinians from being employed in Israel. Muslims have been at war with each other and many other nations since 610AD, why do you think that Islam is a religion of peace?
