Reader comment on item: Destroying Sculptures of Muhammad
in response to reader comment: COMMON VALUES

Sorry but only taking the good sides of any religion doesn't make any religion a good one.

You can join a religion and think it to be a good one when you feel bonded to it's foundation.

With Christianity, it are the teachings of Jesus Christ, not the OT. written mostly by 4 of he's 12 followers. coming from his deeds, actions and words.

With Islam, it are the teachings of Muhammed(PBUH) written on what ever he's followers could find to write on and all supposedly coming from Allah.

Each having a different message in it's foundation.

What is sometimes discussed here are the foundations of Islam belief mainly...(Let's be honest no other religion is here magnified to such extent then Islam, but that's because the Topic is just about Islam and it's actions in the world)

If you cant to work with Islam, it's true we need to turn to not only the many believers of that faith and there actions, but also to the scriptures they follow(who are being interpreted in many ways, at least so is told to me)

You can't solve a problem by ignoring it an going for only the good things.

It's like ignoring 50% of everything. Try eating at a 50% table with a half fork and knife sitting on a half chair. It doesn't work for long.
