two halves make a whole

If the spread of Islam by violent means is a half truth, then what is the other half? That it was spread by non-violent means, as well? That is most assuredly true, however, it is also only a half truth, and it is the half on which peaceful Muslims understandibly focus. Peaceful Christians don't like to dwell on the part Christianity played in the Crusades, the Inquisition, the Salem witch trials. But they do not deny that they happened.

Islam did wage wars. Islam did conquer nations. Islam did enslave the conquered or force them to convert, die, or live a miserable second class existence with few rights. The Holocaust did happen. Islam means submission (or surrender), not peace.

Peaceful Muslims need to acknowledge Islam's past, and acknowledge what is happening within Islam today. We see the persection of not only Hindus, Jews and Christians, but Ahmadiyya and Sufi. How will the conflict between Shi'a and Sunni end? With one eliminating the other? Peaceful Muslims need to take their faith back from the cult of death, or the world ruled by Islam will be nothing more than a charred, blackened husk.
