Here is your lesson for today

Now the word transliteration means: to represent letters or words in the corresponding characters of another language (Webster's)

The gold standard here is the Chicago Manual of Style.

Fatha is a, a damma is u, and a kasra is i. And alif is aa, a yeh a ii, and a waw would be uu. The letter 3ayn is 3 and the hamza is a ' and a shadda is double consonant.

So let us work on al-salamu 3aliakum

We start with the rasm

1. alif lam or al-al-ta3reef would be: al-

2. seen would be s

3. lam would be l

4. alif would be aa

5. meem would be m

So now we have: al-SLAAM and if you add the short vowels with a ftaha above the seen and a damma above the meem we aill have

al-Salaamu

Now the word 3alaikum

1. 3ayn is 3

2. lam is l

3. yeh is ii

4. kaf would be k

5. meem would be m

Now we have the rasm as; 3LIIKM

Now we add the fatha above the 3 and a fatha boave the lam a sukun above the yeh and a damma above the kaf and a sukun above the meem and now we have

3alaiikum

And now we have: al-salamu 3alaikum (and for simplicity I omit the extra i and u)

Now vocalization means: to produce with the voice (see Webster's) it would be

A-salamu 3alaikum

You only drop the lam in al-al-ta3reef (lam shamsiya) and you do not add an extra seen. There is no shadda here.

How come you did not know that? and you references are wikipedia? are you for real?

So is our dear Mullah Ahmad aware of all of this or not? and when you write you transliterate you do not vocalize. Do you get it now?
