If we are dealing with primitive boorish people rather than civilisations. that certainly puts an end to the clash of civilisatons argument started by Bernard Lewis in 1990 and then taken to its extreme form by Samuel Huntington in 1993. A similar argument could also be used to say that the neo-nazi movements all over the former Soviet block countries are more favourable to people who stay quiet and do nothing about it? The problem is that on both sides there are fundamentalists and vagrant rightwingers.

There is little or no difference in the core philosophical principles maintained by the right wing Judeo-Christian elements of the media as the salafi-wahabi inspired neo-Muslim intelligentsia. The result is that the moderates on both sides get caught up in the bombs, rhetoric and narrowmindedness.
