Time to "Remember the Armenians," Turkey's history of Genocide can now finally be revealed

Now that Turkey has split with the West, it is time to hammer home the long dormant issues around the Armenian Massacare. It was the world's first true extermination genocide where during an 8 year periond, 1/3 of the world's Armenian population was murdered. It occured in three stages, the mass murder of 900,000 in 1915, the killing of 100,000 in Russia and occupied northwest Iran in 1918 and the massacares of 250,000 in the Turkish conquest of western Armenia in 1920-1923. Hitler repeatedly gave speaches comparing his plans for the Jews to the Turkish 'final solution' of the Armenians. The Armenian Massacare inspired the holocaust more than any other event in history.

Ever since Turkey became a part of NATO, these events were hushed but now finally they can be hammered home onto a country which denies that this occured and blames the victims and even claims that they commited genocide (imagine what would happen if someone in Germany said that the Jews commited genocide against the Germans in WWII). Turkey has shot itself in the foot now and one can only hope that justice will be swift, such as starting with Israel offically recognizing this as a genocide, something it has not done yet because of Turkey's supposed allied stance with them. The Kurdistan question can now also be adressed without fear, as some 2/3 of the Kurdish populaion lives in Turkey.
