For Hamilton: Who is really Allah?

Reader comment on item: Is Allah God? - Continued
in response to reader comment: "Allah" Is The Same One God

Submitted by dhimmi no more (United States), Sep 30, 2006 at 17:56

my dear Hamilton:

If Allah is indeed the same Judeo-Christian God I will for sure become an atheist.

However, if you read Wellhausen's "Prolegomena zur altesten Geschichte des Islams" and "The Arab Kingdom and its Fall" and Patricia Crone's "Meccan Trade and The Rise of islam" , and based on evidence form Muslim sources, they both present a very convincing case that Allah was no other than Hubal the chief pre-Islamic Arabian pagan deity.

So unless Hubal is also the Judeo-Christian God, which he is not, Allah is not the God of the Judeo-Christian tradtion..
