As a born Hindu I have imbibed from the very start that 'there are many paths to the Truth'. So from that perspective the limitations of monotheism(as practised and preached by many Christians and Muslims) are self evident.One can insist upon their God as the best or the only for the purpose of everyday practice of religion but to use it to malign other religions(as Hinduism often is for being polytheistic)or for the more political and power-grabbing purposes and or as a tool for converting others, is plain ugly spiritual parochialism.
