Allah is not the God of Israel, and neither is Jesus

in response to reader comment: When God is God

With all due respect to my fellow Christians and Muslims, I want to make it perfectly clear what Judaism has to say about Jesus.

First of all, calling the Torah, the "Old Testament," and saying that the New Testament "fulfills" the "Old" is an insult to Jews. Next, using Hebrew words to describe Jesus and other Christian concepts (like "Trinity") that do not exist in Judaism is an even, bigger insult. Third, to say that Jesus is the Son of the God of Israel is beyond insult and is tantamount to blasphemy. Lastly, Jesus is not, and will never be, the Jewish Messiah.

There are no second comings in the Torah. The Jewish Messiah comes but once and has yet to arrive. Plus the Jewish Messiah MUST FULFILL all of the following:

  • First of all, he must be Jewish and a member of the tribe of Judah
  • He must be a direct male descendant of King David and King Solomon
  • He must gather the Jewish people from exile and return them to Israel
  • He must rebuild the Temple in Jerusalem
  • He will rule at a time of world-wide peace
  • He will rule at a time when the Jewish people will observe G-d's commandments
  • He will rule at a time when all people will come to acknowledge and serve one G-d .

If an individual fails to fulfill even one of these conditions, then he cannot be "The Messiah."

On the other hand, Christians who pray to the Father are, indeed, praying to YHVH, (the unprononcible name of God that some mistakenly reference as Jehovah), the God of Israel, and Christians who speak about the Holy Spirit are talking about the Ruach Ha'Kodesh, an aspect of YHVH that allows HIM to affect`the physical world directly.

So, two out of three ain't bad.
