So why do Christian Arabs call their God Allah?

Could it be because the Arabized Syriac word for God (Alaha/Allaha) is Allah? And could it be because it would be politically correct for them to call their God: Allah?

This does not mean that the ethnic God of the Jews or Jesus is the Arabian God Allah.

Why is it so difficult for Muslims to be more critical of the sources?
