Reader comment on item: Is Allah God? - Continued
in response to reader comment: not really...

Donvan,

I like what you said "ones true religion is another mythology" and I do agree. I would actually extend that to war and politics, ones justifiable war is another's nightmare. I can see why you would say that Allah justifies violence and you turn a blind eye on the violent god of the Old Testament (and some violent, demeaning and misogynists verses in the Gospels) and considered it justifiable.

This topic is amusing to me because Christians can not reconcile with the New Testament god and OT violent history. Yesterday, I was listening to a conservative Christian preacher on the radio answering a question about some other preacher who was preaching that her Christian god was an all LOVING God and nothing more. The Preacher called her speech heretical and he said that God is based on two principles Love and Justice.

So, donvan, remember the Justice of the Christian god is another's nightmare and the vice verse with Islam. Remember too, Innocent people have been killed under Muslims and Christians--- and both religion do preach a God of Love and Justice. But the New Christians are slowing moving to a LOVING-god--ALMOST recreating Christianity.
