Allah/Jehovah have no conflict

Reader comment on item: Is Allah God? - Continued
in response to reader comment: The word Allah is a loan word from Syriac! It is not an Arabic word!

I personally have met and spoken to muslims, some from Somalia, others from Iran, and Iraq. The word "Allah" is used in these countries that are arab. One guy from Iraq was sorely defensive at my mention of "Allah." Apparently the name is too holy for a non muslim to mention according to him. But of course if you all read the Quran and actually speak to real muslims they will all swear they pray to Allah, the God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Ishmael. The Quran is translated into English and is on line. I would highly suggest that all seriously concerned to read it. Also check the website for "The Common Word. This tells a different story about Muslims vs. Christians.
