The princess diariesReader comment on item: Advice to Non-Muslim Women against Marrying Muslim Men Submitted by Lina (United Kingdom), Feb 4, 2021 at 05:05 Ajda, You will find men of all faiths and backgrounds that treat their women with respect - it has little to do with faith but the way in which the man was raised. The Bible also teaches men to love their wives as they love themselves, but that's not to say that everyone will practice what's preached. However, I have to reject your claim that unhappy Muslim women are in the minority. This is down to the fact that I, as a non-Muslim looking in, have come across a disproportionately high number of women in abusive situations. Perhaps you are fortunate enough to be surrounded by people that are well raised, but what about the subject of honour killings. What happens if the princess steps out of line and goes outside without permission, for example. Yes, indeed a Muslim woman can be treated very well, but only until she breaks the rules. And only if she has a strong and loving support network, which not everyone is blessed with. It's all very controlled, and you're right it's not for everyone. It's more suited to women that are submissive. I am also curious, Ajda, what brings you to the board?
