Reader comment on item: Advice to Non-Muslim Women against Marrying Muslim Men
in response to reader comment: Can anyone answer my question

Submitted by Lina (United Kingdom), Sep 13, 2022 at 19:13

Hi Jessica and all

It's been a while and I trust you're all well. Wow didn't expect to hear you'll be marrying your Mohamed... time does fly. About the Nikah from what I understand it is an Islamic procedure that forms the first part of the full marriage... although Muslim men are indeed permitted to marry non Muslim (Christian or Jewish) women. Have you met his family and has he met yours and asked for their approval?

Be vigilant, ask questions and read everything carefully. Divorce is not taken lightly under any religion and you don't want to be trapped.
