Dear Jessica Ma'am:
Best wishes for you upcoming Nov wedding to a person from Morocco. It is none of the business of us 8-billion minus 2 humans, but keep telling us about it nevertheless.

I wonder why you keep repeating that he would pay for everything. For one, he might be a rich businessman but he comes from a somewhat poor developing nation. You come from super-rich Canada. You should also bear some costs. Second, it is possible that you would have to return the cash with kind. Is he obligating you for something in the future by paying cash upfront? Third, in a lot of Western/modern cultures, we are moving toward equality between sexes: all earnings and all costs are shared between the married man and woman.

Pl keep these ideas in mind as you benefit from Mr M's kindness. Best of luck.
