Well, let us see. You like this translation of the disaster صلى الله عليه وسلم as:

>"May the blessings and peace of God be upon him."

Right our dear Fatou?

Let us translate every word:

1. صلى means he prayed (oh did you check the reference that I provided you?)

2 الله means Allah (no the word Allah does not mean God because it is the proper name of your so called god. More disasters? al-Tabari tells us that it is a contraction of the Arabic word الالاه and because Muhammad could not spell the word properly he spells it in the Qur'an as الاله or THE GOD and Not GOD! Did you get this one our dear Fatou?)

3. عليه means Upon Him (The him here is Abul Qasim your so called prophet)

4. وسلم means And (he) salutes

So here is the translation: Allah prayed upon him and (he) salutes

What a disaster! Allah prays upon a mere human being!

And no the word صلى does not mean blessing or mercy because this is a loan word from Aramaic/Syriac and it is not an Arabic word

Now let us translate the above translation to Arabic بركة وسلام الاله عليه

Or the blessing and peace of the God be upon him!

And from now on I will use this بركة وسلام الاله عليه instead of the disaster of صلى الله عليه وسلم

BTW: Did you read about the Zanj Rebellion?
