Misunderstanding Marriage is Miscarriage of Marriage

Having entered into this series of discussions some time back with some apprehension, since the topic is quite specific in its target audience and this observer does not fit the profile of either the protagonist (Muslim) or the intended kuffar 'spouse' (victim?); the observations offered here were/are from a sympathetic perspective to the sanctity of marriage and why so few really appreciate what marriage is supposed to represent to cultured society.

Marriage has been made into many things; but being made easy is not one of them. Entering into a solid lifetime relationship as a covenant requires careful consideration. Too many times an urgency is introduced for the wrong reasoning; and as many here have found out, it is tragic. Love may seem to be the objective, yet the characterization of the 'feeling' of love is really misunderstood; passion is sometimes interjected as the replacement for love and mistakes are made.

Counseling (ala western style) is many times recommended; yet even in that, passions still rule where understanding what is contemplated should be the cautionary tale. Understand that what is seen/felt now cannot, will not ever be the outcome forty years from now. Ask any people married for more than forty years; ask if they would do it over again and the answers are as varied as there are respondents. Virtually all will have some potential roots causes for why it was not the best choice; truth hurts.

As this observer has intimated after forty years plus of engaging all the potential attacks on marital stability, it can be observed that marriage is singularly the most exposed personal endeavors that can be experienced and it is not for the casual manipulations of the heart in which a broken heart is the most common casualty and more often than not, can be avoided if that understanding is recognized upfront. Do not be betrayed by the physicality and those passions; they never last, not even in marriage.

Once there is a sense that those who know are telling the truth will reveal, a miscarriage of marriage is to be averted and can be determined easily; examine the motives (both sides) before entering into such a relationship and avoid the broken-hearted consequences when seen. Further, in the religious context, examine the doctrine of the religious perception and it will tell the story of motive; is it about sacrifice? If not, it is suspect, and the annals of history are filled with the tragedy of failed societies in that abuse.
