One little problem about good Muslim men

Reader comment on item: Advice to Non-Muslim Women against Marrying Muslim Men
in response to reader comment: Finally it come true

Dear Readers, I say that intellectual foundations of Islam are extremely shallow and almost any thing that people say to admire it can be debunked without much serious thought. Our dear reader Jessica is busy celebrating her marriage into Islam so I will not ask her to reply but others should consider what she said. Jessica said, "only bad Muslim man ask women to pay money." This statement, if true, is very unfair to good Muslims. It seems that a good Muslim man must marry a woman who does not and cannot earn money so the question of her spending on the family does not arise. If a good Muslim marries a woman who makes some money, what happens to her money? The husband cannot ask for it and gets none. So, all her money must go toward her personal expenses or donated to charity. And, if the good man has four wives as sanctioned by the Quran, four of the five salaries will go to waste. That is an even bigger bummer.

Rhetorical arguments apart, we should learn to dig deep into the statements made by Muslims and Islamic apologists. The concept that a good Muslim man will never ask for a woman's money is outdated. It is viable only if the men can go to wars and earn their monies by looting others and have no educated and capable women around them. Modern times demand equality and mutual respect and Islam is lagging by centuries.
