Muslim's misgiving

Reader comment on item: Advice to Non-Muslim Women against Marrying Muslim Men
in response to reader comment: Reply to A very concerned reader

Dear Dr Pipes, your reader Jessica wondered why Muslim immigrants on the one hand like to emigrate to non-Muslim nations and on the other hand defend their culture. The explanation is relatively very simple. Muslims do not realize that the cause of their miserable state is hidden inside Islam. From the early childhood, Muslim children are brainwashed to believe that Islam is the best and only good religion. Add to that the rules against blasphemy and absence of freedom of speech, Muslims have no other option but to defend Islam.

Islamic doctrine also justifies destruction of other cultures and religions. It supports relentless propagation of Islam with and without violence. So going to non-Muslim societies is supported and encouraged by the religious doctrine. Let us not forget that within 6 decades of Muhammad's death, Islamic armies had reached Sindh in the East, Spain in the West, and Jerusalem and beyond in the North, and the shores of Yemen in the south. The conquest is still going on.
