M Tovey,

From my point of view, Islam is not different than totalitarian regimes which we all know well. Because in the end, it's about creating a "perfect" society which works as a whole, organised by a hierarchical system where the powerful ones oppress the others. In Islam, religious beliefs and political ideology converge. The famous "the Church and the state have no separation line" saying. And that's where all the problem starts. No one can disagree with one ayah nor can you disagree with one rule. Because all comes from the superior power of Allah, so no one can't discuss that. If you're against one Islamic teaching, you're outside Islam. And if you're outside of Islam, you're an apostate. And if you're an apostate, your destiny is death. This is why I'm insisting these days for all the readers to realise that you can't cherry-pick whatever you like from Islam and leave aside what you don't. For instance, Muslimahs may dislike polygamy, but they can't deny it or try to avoid their spouses to make use of this ayah/fatwa because then, they would go against their so-called god Allah. Got it, girls? Got it, Ajdas and Fatous reading this forum? Whether they like it or not, it's allowed and perfectly feasible. Like many other aberrant things which Islam encourages and allows. If you dare to disagree, you will be frightened with the hell fairytale. So you'd better shut up.

This doesn't happen with other religious beliefs. Definitely, it doesn't happen with Christianity, and this is precisely what they criticise from Christians. For them, it lacks from the superior enforcement of God's law, so all the believers act independently and the religion has been adjusted according to changes. For Muslims, no one can be over Allah. That's why Islam will never change nor can it be updated with the times. 7th century code very well established as long as humanity exists.

Islam is a code of stringent rules which covers every single aspect of individuals who have to think and behave in the same manner with no exception. A collectivity. This is where the danger sits. If you're Muslim, you can't deny anything of the scriptures and the Sharia. You need to abide by absolutely all. There's no room for you to be a free thinker or even question something. Islam works as a whole. This is the danger and also the reason why they're so hypocrite. Because if they do haram acts, they need to cover well their trace, whereas they condemn those who have done the same forbidden things they do when no one is around.

I don't know where the truth is, M Tovey. But definitely, it's not in the words of the Qur'an which for me, can't be God's words, if there are any. But I'm sure that no God could embrace to make women invisible and deny their rights. No God could command violence towards women, nor among those who don't think like you. God must be love and not hatred. Today, I stick to my values, to my morals and my own spirituality while I try to grow everyday to do good to my society in the best way I can. I believe in the Universal Declaration of the Human Rights and the right to have my own beliefs without any hierarchical imposition nor patriarchal system. That's my insight about this... And overall, I believe women who have been raised in secular countries deserve to know the truth. And this is why I'm here to try to explain a bit of this confusing religion that I have studied well, and why it's not a good idea to be involved with a Muslim man who sooner or later will try to convert you, dominate you and bring more Muslims to this world to comply with his jihadist mission in regards to spreading Islam.
