Please be carefulReader comment on item: Advice to Non-Muslim Women against Marrying Muslim Men Submitted by Robin (United States), Nov 3, 2020 at 08:23 I know how much you want to believe your man is different from what has been depicted on this site. I was the same way. My man said and did many things to make me think he was different. Unfortunately, he was not. They're really good at putting up a front, acting proud, nonchalant, and self sufficient. However, there is always an ulterior motive. It is the way they are brought up, the culture in which they are raised. They know what to say and do to gain our trust. They know how to present their friends and family. I too thought I was very discerning, and was proven wrong. It broke my heart. While it wasn't the end of my world, I don't want anyone else to go through this. Please be careful, and listen to anything your intuition tries to tell you. It is so easy to shrug things off when you don't want to see them - it's called cognitive dissonance for a reason.
