Just go and enjoy yourself. I've said it before, a lot of the time we fall in love with the scenery... can you picture yourself wanting anything to do with these losers if you met them in your local pub?

Especially Egypt with its incredible history, endless sunshine... I always remind myself the pharaohs are long gone lol.

Still, you can have a good time there without male company. There's lots to see and do, and the expats are usually quite interesting/entertaining.
