MarriageReader comment on item: Advice to Non-Muslim Women against Marrying Muslim Men Submitted by Didi (United Kingdom), Oct 4, 2019 at 16:27 Muslim men are allowed to marry women of Abrahamic faiths: Muslim, Christian, or Jewish. I remember this clearly written in my marriage document issued by the Moroccan consulate; I also had to provide my Christian baptismal paperwork and sign a decree. The non-Muslim women don't have to convert; though it looks good if they do. Most of the men who are serious about the women believr it will bring his paradise in the afterlife if the woman converts. Atheists and women of other faiths are not accepted in Islam unless they convert. Muslim women are forbidden from marrying a non-Muslim man unless he converts and is approved usually by the family and imam. I think most parents prefer not to give their daughter to converts for fear he will change back.. which is then forbidden for their daughter to be with him.
