Why it happens

The thing is, these men do carry an appeal to women... and they know it. In a society where women are judged based on how they look, girls like your daughter find comfort in being "accepted" for who they are. When in reality it couldn't be further from the truth - because it's almost always the woman that has to change her whole lifestyle to suit the man.

In addition to that they appeal to our submissive... "homemaker" side. British men for example, are usually quite soft... they don't know how to take the lead, and live in partnerships are common. With no talk of marriage. They are not family orientated for the most part.

So yeah this man has well and truly brainwashed your daughter... but again our own society can be a catalyst. Like you said leave her to it... she will come to her senses one day. Usually after something awful happens, unfortunately... :-(
