Once I woke up and moved into this reality....the confusion of it all started to leave and things he did started to make sense once I accepted the fact. Acceptance of being in denial was the hardest for me to overcome. Especially when he was talking so sweet with wonderful promises. I wanted terribly to believe it but the facts over feelings kicked in and I had to accept it. It was what it was.

Going no contact and basically disappearing was all I could do to heal from this awful mess. I did not go searching for him. I started to learn everything I could about the culture. It is not a bad reflection on us that we made a mistake. Mistakes teach us lessons. Believe me his idea of love and your idea of love are not the same. His lips may drip with honey but his actions will destroy you.

Breaking the cycle of emotional manipulation is powerful in healing and this requires cold turkey no contact. Worked for me....not quickly but I am happy and at peace. I hope this for you and in time it will be there.
