Reader comment on item: Advice to Non-Muslim Women against Marrying Muslim Men
in response to reader comment: Good to hear from you!

Hi Robin. It's good you're being proactive about informing the Us officials. I know many Canadian women who have done the same and it really helps!

Perhaps your husband did love you. Alot of men just can't stay faithful. Islam does allow multiple wives to prevent men from cheating. Because they think men will want sex more than the wife so if he has 2 or more wives, then he can just go to one of the others. The men also can't have sex with a menstruating woman, or after childbirth.

So the extra wives means he's always got someone available. Heck, I'm seeing more and more Western people with open marriages/polyamorous relationships nowadays. I don't want that lifestyle, so it was something I said no to upfront. In fact, you can actually put it in your marriage contract; otherwise, he can seek another wife! This experience has opened my eyes to a culture that I hadn't thought much about. I'm sure it did for you too. With that, you get to see the good, the bad, and the ugly. I wish you well. Each day seems to get easier!
