Reader comment on item: Advice to Non-Muslim Women against Marrying Muslim Men
in response to reader comment: HELP! Engaged to a Moroccan

Didi please RUN! I am sorry to say but this is in fact gone deeper than a scam there is now a child soon to be involved! The fact that he's hit you more than once isn't a good sign that this will be a healthy relationship. As well as this, his behaviour towards you seems to reflect one of the many cases of a mental health disorder. In Morocco it would be very odd for a man to be 40 and not already married with children! Potentially, he could already have a family that he is hiding and is looking for citizenship from a Western country to then get a green card and bring his family to America. I also have to say that looks mean nothing in this world- even the best looking people possess very dark ugly hearts and horrible traits. This is nothing new to these men, they use their looks to lure women in and when they have what they want they will be out in a moments flash! I know this because a lot of sex trafficking happens in Morocco that then later turns into scams. I am sorry to break this to you but it really isn't a good idea to remain with this man. For reassurance please read all the other stories on here from other women like yourself that have previously encountered relationships and marriages with these men and it ended up to be really bad. You won't only loose him but you'll end up loosing yourself, your confidence, dignity and love so I deem this situation as risky and you should protect yourself and your heart at all cost. Prevention is better than cure and there's still time to prevent further things from happening. Please really think about this!

Becca.
