Every story helps, especially those facing such situations for the first time. This is happening from so many countries now. In Florida, the biggest scams come from Jamaica, Nigeria, Mexico, and Egypt. Now I am starting to see Syrians, Tunisians, Algerians, and even Americans running scams on other Americans. Once you know for sure, cut all contact, do not let your curiosity get the better of you. I wasn't looking for anyone online and yet got flooded with men swearing they were in love, hacking my face book, calling on the cell phone. It was crazy!! Went through enough of the same when I was younger and had pen pals through letter writing, so I'm thinking, not again! A friend of mine who I did not know very well a few years ago, let herself get talked into marrying an Egyptian she barely knew who was already in the States. He was aided by a Saudi prince to enter the country. (!!!!!!!!!!) Many came on student visas. They did not want to leave the country and was looking to marry. Even though one warned her not to trust this man( he was here legally) she really thought he loved her. So sweet and nice, but the minute she said I do, all that stopped! First thing he asked her was if she wanted to visit Egypt? Thank God she said no! It took her 6 years to realize this man was no good. By that time they had pass the immigration questions, and he became a citizen two years later. After he was handed his citizenship that morning, she handed him her divorce papers that night! Lol. He confessed he was planning on leaving her stranded in Egypt by taking her travel documents and coming back to America without her. What a close call. So like I said, every story helps. Thanks Anonymous and all others.
