Yes, I have read many articles as well in this forum. I still have a difficult time understanding why I was targeted at all. I just opened a Facebook Account one year ago this month and obviously, my empathic nature has led me into this fantasy world. It is so terribly sad to me that these men are so desperate for a life outside of Algeria. I realize it is a third world country and I can not even imagine living in such conditions, but why not just be honest about it. I mean you can sponsor someone which in turn is pretty much the same conditions if you pretend to love someone so they want to marry you. I understand the 10 year immigration forms must be signed either way.

I fear he just does not want to work and wants to have a life of leisure and live off of me until I die which after reading this forum would be sooner than later if he did not get his way or his family locked me away in a room as well. Come to think of it, they did make a space for me on a different level in the house with just a kitchen and a bathroom and expected me to pay them $1,000 instead of my 2 week hotel stay. I get closer to reality every time I type! :o( I hate myself for falling so hard for him in the 8 months we have known one another. I could never play with someone's heart or mind in such a way without any guilt or remorse, hence my weakness.
