Please don't go Jackie!

Hi Jackie,

I use to come here a lot and i haven't read anything on here since February. I decided to read today. I started with the newest posts. That's when I was learning of your situation. Please don't go!!! When I read of your plans my heart dropped in a worried concerned way. Listen to what the ladies on here are telling you because they are telling you the truth. They have been on this forum for a long time and helped a lot of people because of their experiences.

I know it's hard to believe people will do certain things that sound heartless. You have to remember mena men come from a very different world from what we are use to. It's like night and day. I remember someone telling someone else on here once to watch an older movie. The name of it is "Not without my daughter" It's a true story. Sally Field is in the movie. You will see how loving and caring they can be and then change into the devil himself. Women are beneath them and you do not disobey. If you do there will be consequences.

This man is planning on marrying you and he wants to come back to the states with you. It takes time and money to get a visa and not always are they approved. If you do not go along with his plans he may keep you captive and take your visa. The American Embassy will not help you in this case because there's no way to prove your identity.

The red flags are there. He quit his job for one. It's not worth it to find out if this is real. Jackie, marriage is hard and takes work. When you come from 2 different worlds it's even more likely your marriage won't survive. Mena men are the biggest scammers. There are some marriages that make it but it's rare. He's a born breaded Algerian and he will be controlling. He may not show it in the beginning but it will eventually come out. Their mentality is different from ours.

I truly hope you let him go and be done with it. There's life after a Muslim Mena man. I thought I couldn't live without mine. I thought it was real but I realized my situation must have been a test. I got out of it before it went any farther. I'm blessed because not everyone is this fortunate. I now wonder what I ever saw in him.

I've met an American man (I'm American) and I'm so happy. I've had other relationships with American men but they were just not the one. This one I have now is the one and we're getting married next year!! We get along so well and have fun together. We are the same religion and culture. Life is so much more simple. Life is hard without adding more difficulties to it . Especially when you know there's a very good chance you're being used.

I'm glad I came back on today and read. I hope what I've said is a help to you. I fear for you if you go to Algeria. Again please listen to the other ladies on here and please think about what I said. I don't know if you're religious but I'm praying you will walk away from this situation and not have to suffer the consequences.
