Such a long letter extolling the Turkish husband but not discussing the million dollar questions

Dear Dr Pipes, for how many centuries we will have to live without answering the most important questions about interfaith marriages between Muslims and non-Muslim people. Your UK reader Yvette wrote a very long letter describing her Turkish Muslim husband but she did not answer the most important questions pertaining to the marriages between Muslims and non-Muslims: 1. What does the Muslim partner think about the state of democracy and free speech in the Islamic societies. Is Islamic hypocrisy with respect to democracy acceptable to him. 2. Why are the children of the marriage Muslims? 3. Did he ever consider converting out of Islam for your love? 4. Having lived in the UK as a Muslim does he feel any sympathy toward non-Muslims living in Islamic societies 5. Does he know about violent history of Islam? He must surely have heard about Hagia Sophia.

These are the important questions when it comes to marrying a Muslim and not whether he is a good cook or not.
