Why be suspect about marrying a Muslim partner

Dear Dr Pipes, I do not understand the entire dialog on the issue of non-Muslim women marrying Muslim men. Most of these women are concerned about their potential partner running away with their money, seeking a green card, or being subservient to his mother. These issues are non-problems and, I think, they should be the least of their worries. These ladies should worry about some real matters of substance. Are they OK with the idea of one partner in a marriage stubbornly staying attached to his/her religion and calling every other religion of the world imperfect and necessarily requiring the other partner to convert? Are they OK about adopting a culture that routinely creates theocracies all around the planet while demanding democratic rights all over the world? Are they OK about adopting a culture where guys are free to walk around like cool dudes while women are subject to all sorts of restrictions about how they should dress? And, oh, did I even mention the theoretical possibility of being a round-robin wife. For heavens sake, ladies and gentlemen, read the newspaper and worry about real issues.
