Did you go back to Egypt in January as you said you would? Clearly, he's cheating. He's doing something that's causing him to be unable to message you at night. They spend a lot of time on line. He's probably taking tourists out at night. As you say, you see the red flags. Open your eyes lady!! He's in Egypt, you're in the UK. You shouldn't be the one worrying about him. Cut him off. If he cared, he would be showing you more attention. Like Jessica says, don't send them MONEY!! They will never respect you if you send them money or gifts!! Believe that..save your money. Go on vacation and enjoy yourself. But remember it's just vacation. These guys do not care that much about you. If it's not you, they're on to the next one..
