You are telling the story of many on this forum...you are not alone

You are not alone and you will heal. It broke my heart to see this. I am blessed to have heard that small still voice tell me to leave. I was only allowed to leave because I was the ticket. Also I am blessed that I got out of the trap of immigration just in time. He had trapped me. It was not the plan I bought into. He treated me like a princess while I was there. I thought I was there to be with him for good. He bought the plane tickets and never let me pay for anything. He told me he would be with me in 2 months. That was a lie for I knew nothing of immigration at the time. I signed papers with an attorney. Trust me...I know and they also know about how to immigrate. I was blind to his charm. But love does not demand or hurt. A wife is to be cherished and not used. It is as if these men take classes in how to charm a woman but once you are the wife....you are an object to be used and made to feel guilty if you are you do not do as they say.

The best thing that helped me was to go NO CONTACT. I do not look at his facebook pages....I do not answer his messages and I block him immediately.

It has taken two years for me to heal and now I feel so good to be free and I take nothing for granted. Freedom is a blessing. Like you...God started to reveal so much to me about what had really happened.

Don't feel bad about yourself. When you are charmed by a snake....your dopamine in your brain is activated. And yes they mirror you. At one time....mine even put my picture as his profile picture. I thought this strange. When did he become me? I do not know how long you have been free but you are the WINNER. Each day is a gift. I too...like you am loving ME now. Life has become beautiful again. The sun is shinning bright. Yes the devil comes to steal kill and destroy and he will appear as an angel of light.

Thank you for sharing your story. It does help others and this is why we come here....to help. Sharing stories is a purpose for us now and I hope...like you...that others will wake up and stay safe.

God bless you. I know it is rough...but things do and will get better day by day. Be encouraged and live life abundantly and Thank God WE ARE FREE from that demonic oppression.
