Thank you for sharing this. It may help one on here that is about to make a mistake. Very sad you have had to go through this. He was an awful man. Very narcissistic. One of the worst I have heard about on here. You deserve so much more.

I think as we experience these things in life, it does make us stronger. It is so hard to be tough with a tender heart. But we HAVE to. You said it well about being sensitized to them and having "feelings". They don't have any feelings and cannot love or even understand it. I don't know where your emotional abuser came from but I know how it feels to be emotionally abused. The scars run deep but glad you are not with him anymore. He never deserved you.

In this world, we have to be tough and guard our hearts and accept NOTHING less than total love, respect, fidelity, trust, care and all that goes with real love. I know I am for the moment am in a holding pattern because as Sheila posted, I feel my ability to love has been taken away. But also I think once one of these preditors does a number on you.....you have had enough.

i agree with you....STAY AWAY FROM THESE MEN! They will suck the life out of you. I wish I had found this forum before I took the leap and fell in his trap.

Thankfully we are free from them now. Some women are not so fortunate.
