I understand exactly what you are talking about. I have been forever changed. It is a shame that these SOB's rob us of love or the ability to trust and love again.

They have created in our mind an illusion that we believed and I don't think anything would measure up to that dream that seemed so perfect. I want you to know that you are not alone with this feeling.

I hope you have a great New Year regardless of what you feel or don't feel. It's okay and understandable to be damaged because we are damaged... emotionally damaged. That is the reality of what happens when you are lied to, love bombed and cheated on...then made to feel guilty because they project it onto us. Bruises heal but emotional wounds run deep.

I can love friends but even with that I have a trust issue. But on a positive note it is taught me very much. I have always been a giver. Now when someone starts to flatter me, I back away... Realizing that they want something or to use me in some kind of way. I could have someone in my life for there are men who would like to date me but the dating scene has changed. Just because one buys me dinner does not mean they get any special privileges. I am not a loose woman and unfortunately there are so many just giving it up these days that every man comes to expect it.

Again on a positive note... even though I am haunted by empty promises that never came to be... I am taking care of myself. Sometimes I must admit I become mentally paralyzed to where I have to sit down and sort it out again. We want answers but the truth is unfortunately these men used us in the worst way. It affects our very confidence and self esteem with the kind of brainwashing that this has brought upon us,

I don't think I want anyone else. Being single has been good for me. And I can buy my own dinner without feeling like I have to repay with a compromise of my values and morals. I'm glad to see you back on the site. You have much experience and a great purpose in helping others to see the truth about these predators.

Perhaps in time we will have a good friend or companion. As for me I don't have the energy for a relationship but would love to have companionship at times. God sees all my friend... And He will repay.

I am hoping that you will love yourself and pamper yourself. It is okay to be self wise.
