I thank God, I read these warnings before committing fully to a relationship with an egyptian man 20 yrs my junior. My story..met 2.5 yrs ago, long conversations daily 4-8hrs at times. Thought I really knew him.....lol. Guarded my money, my heart ..then the trip - recently 40 days in a flat with him. He took off work the entire time to be with me. It was good.As expected -

I still thought he was a cheat/con..checked his phone..OMGOSH..loaded with all kinds of other women he was trying to "lure" into his clutches. Nailed him..he had every excuse in the book..the best one "I didn't think you were really serious", "but I chose you"...Hhhhh. I enjoyed every moment of the sites (in which he took me too), the sex, and the culture. He is Muslim. I kicked him to the curb for a short while..gave me the sob story..still talking..and he is planning on taking the "cheap" marriage vow and making it a "civil marriage" in the courts - he is an attorney. Mind you he is an attorney because of my encouragement!! His goal to be able to come here as my husband.

Here is the way I look at it, if he can do all the paperwork and arrive - more power to him - even if he leaves after here. I have given this man the opportunity of a lifetime and pray he moves forward and is blessed. That is my giving. I don't care! I don't regret one thing..there are plenty of other fish in the sea. PLENTY.

Lastly and again, I thank everyone on here for the advise - I went into this with a 60/40 heart - to protect my heart. These men are lovers..but dysfunctional attributed to their environment. I am beautiful inside and out and have several opportunities for other men. So the saga will continue..if he wants to pursue it..so be it. Nothing to lose here ..this whole ordeal has truly been an education about the culture and history of mankind.

I sure wish US men could learn to be as romantic as these men are! Guess you can't have the best of both worlds.

Before I set off on my journey, I set my own personal goals in place to have something to fall back on "just in case the bomb dropped" LOLOL. I am a better person for experiencing this journey.
