The trouble with North African men is they'll always have a soft spot for their own women. A lot of them do in fact resent Europeans. For colonialism, for being non-Muslim... for being "wealthy" etc etc. Either way this is not love. His constant picking on you expresses annoyance... would you tolerate this from an American guy? This man is a jerk.
There's usually a reason why these men are unmarried... they have no credentials.
