Leslie: You Are Being Scammed--Pakistani Man, Older US Woman, Muslim Man, Age Difference

Leslie:

Thanks for writing.

You are being scammed here. He contacted you on Facebook (no, this is not innocent) and wants a VISA.

The fact that he can pay for a trip may suggest he is talking to other women and getting money from them. Of course, he is going to assure you he isn't talking to anyone else and may do that whether it's true or not.

Why the doubt you ask. Because you don't know him and therefore cannot trust him. You like the idea of talking to a younger, foreign man and that is perhaps why you are making excuses to try and see this through.

Also, it would not surprise me if was lying about never being married. He could already be married and his plan is to marry you and then divorce once he has what he needs to stay in the USA and then bring his family over.

The fact that you may know this is a scam is important. If you go along with something you know is a scam, Leslie, that makes you more liable to be financially responsible for him should things go sour and they most certainly will.

The age difference is a dead giveaway as well. It doesn't matter if you look younger than your age. That's not in dispute, and it's also been said so many times on here. And really with him talking about marriage in the first weeks before even meeting----I've been there before with foreign women. They love to talk about how they are falling in love with you, want to marry you ect. ect. Same old story.
