Dear Leslie,

Does one talk about-- marriage or even a relationship involving( if that's what you both mean) living in the U.S. or elsewhere without marriage-- within 2 weeks? Just reflect on how many people have broken off even simple friendship after 6 months.

He is going all out to prove he is clean in so far as relationships are concerned.How does one ascertain whether he has or hasn't any girlfriend?He and his friends could be deceptive or honest.Why would he choose specifically ( even though you are pretty and look younger) a woman much older to him if he can get a younger woman anywhere --if he is well qualified and can get a job comfortably? Many Indian sub Continentals go abroad and marry there for good or for citizenship.This man had been to the U.S. earlier.He could have got someone through his acquaintances long back.

I feel you need to be careful.I am not worried about the age difference if he really loves you AND looks after you much later( just consider this as well) but what's the guarantee that he does not want you now for a permanent citizenship and he can't without you--which is suspicious.

Mind well,Islam allows 4 wives.It also sanctions Takiyya( deception). Many people are thorough gentlemen and some outright crooks.How does one know in a short time?A crook can have great patience and will wait for a long time till his desired objective is attained.

There is no way to really know for sure what his plans are.I don't believe his mother has given him permission to marry you.If you visit him and get married,you might get stuck there if the wedding takes place in a mosque--since this is not legal in the U.S.Are you comfortable with conversion to Islam as well?

There are hardly any ways to get his credentials.Be careful.
