The Abrahamic religions merely serve as a tool to reinforce their misogynistic beliefs. When in fact these men should be treating women with (relative) respect, were they truly religious, or going by the book.

Islam and several other religions are largely based around female sexuality and the control thereof. Marriage, honour, even the afterlife revolve around sex. Women are indeed seen as property... but property that you feed and take care of nonetheless... sort of as you would a horse lol..

For an example of a pious Muslim man you will picture a long beard, long jalabia, perhaps a skullcap and a lowered gaze. Now onto Egyptian men, most of the men us women are meeting are NOT the aforementioned pious type... but rather they're the type that drink, smoke, club, and ogle and more at multiple women. They're hypocrites in every sense of the word.

They are as you said jealous, control freaks, mummy's boys, with a propensity to lie and cheat. They are highly sexed, with one of the highest rates of sexual harassment in the world. In other words they are womanisers. And this charming way of talking to women is what attracts many of us to begin with. I've known Coptic men that cheat and I've known egyptian muslims that were open-minded... so yes it all comes down to the individual and unfortunately with most of these men it's copy paste. So if jealous, controlling, double standards is not your thing then swipe left ladies because you won't like what's to come.
