Coptic Egyptians just as bad

Reader comment on item: Advice to Non-Muslim Women against Marrying Muslim Men
in response to reader comment: Christian, Muslim, Wiccan, Atheist --Doesn't Matter As Signs Are There

I want to warn the ladies here that being a coptic christian makes no difference to being a violent Egyptian man. It is their CULTURE - their underlying lack of respect for women that makes them jealous, cheating and violent.
I was in love with a coptic who has not even lived in Egypt for over 30 years and is now and ATHIEST - he had the same backwards, sexist views of white women cleverly hidden underneath. We are all WHORES to middle easterners.
I was with this man for over a year and in that time got called plenty of names. One night he saw me talking (yes, talking only) no touching, no smiling, no nothing and I got beaten up badly. Very badly. Do not let his beliefs or lack of them lull you into a false sense of security. It is their CULTURE they grew up with. They are segregated and are not taught that women are human at all. We must be perfect. Egyptian men, no matter the religion or lack of religion are inculcated from birth that women are inferior. They are also huge hypocrites. Please, be warned. It's not a muslim problem. It is a CULTURE problem.
