Advice for and against

Dear Elyse,

I feel that any person can be good or bad irrespective of religion,ethnicity and nationality.However,it's also risky to fall in love ONLY with appearance( which can be deceptive) and sweet talk.All of us put our best foot forward and some can be very manipulative while wooing.Women can fall for that.

You have mentioned panic disorder as a background.Has that made you vulnerable to look for true affection?How do you know the affection exhibited on the internet and video contacts is genuine? Many people from the region he is from try to get westerners in their fold and religion is a very important factor for them.Are you ready for conversion?He may promise you that he is above all that but it;s never so.Initially everything looks hunky dory and later everything flops and the woman gets into trouble ESPECIALLY,when you go into their country.Then you can be made helpless if the passport is taken into possession while resorting to sweet talk.

I can quite understand the dizzy feeling of being in love but this IS the stage when you can make mistakes. I have no prejudices but have fair knowledge of these people.They never will give their women to others.They will take women from outside their religion and community in.That speaks volumes for their attitude.They can WOO very well and ARE handsome( like a flycatcher plant). You are highly educated.I feel you use your intelligence and instincts and DO NOT AT ALL visit him where he lives.Instead,it's better to find a man from your own community where the credentials are easily discovered and there are people who can vouch for the same.He might also be trying to get into your country since his nation is in trouble.Note the economic migrants flooding the Western Europe.The real victims of genocide are too poor to pay the refugee traffickers and so can't go out of Syria or any other.

My advice,despite acknowledging that he might not necessarily be bad,is only this--find a man from your clan.Even marriageswithin your own clan can collapse but you can at least seek help from your loved ones surrounding you and acquaintances nearby.Here you might be helpless if you are in his country or some third nation,if even 1% chance exists of being cheated or abused.

Never take chances like this online,dear one.Online romances feel great and addictive but most are doomed if one is not careful or is unlucky.Even 1 year's acquaintance is insufficient.Good luck and best regards,
