Reader comment on item: Advice to Non-Muslim Women against Marrying Muslim Men

Submitted by Elyse (New Zealand), Jul 16, 2017 at 06:20

Hello,

After reading many comments, may I ask for opinions regarding Afghan men.
The Pashtun people seem especially beautiful, rumoured widely to be one of the lost Tribes of Israel.
I am Jewish through my mother's lineage, and Anglican (Church of England) Protestant, on my father's side - it is my honour to combine both faiths.
The person I have fallen for is Muslim, Pashtun, Afghanistani, and is so beautiful that he resembles Prince Caspian from the Narnia fairy tales. He is younger than me, although I look his age, weighing barely 100 pounds, and receiving income as a petite lingerie model.
I am highly educated, with a degree in Philosophy and another in Fine Arts. I work in a prominent Art Gallery and am a practicing artist.
This beautiful creature has fallen for me, and I for him, over the internet, with many phone calls and video talks. He has pursued me intently, wildly, madly. We are half a world away, but adore each other immensely, and he wishes desperately to marry, asking more than a hundred times.
I experience panic disorder and am on medication for this due to childhood abuse. I have a dark passion side to me as an artist, however my past abuse elicits a wariness toward anything that may derail the path I follow with G-d.
However, I think of Edmund Spenser's quote: 'Gather the rose of love whilst yet is time', and am cognisant of the brevity of life. I wish to marry, I cannot lie, I adore him.
I ask for advice, wisdom, guidance.

Most sincerely, Elyse.
